The World Trade Organization and America

The judgments of the World Trade Organization are being biased about the American people. After the World War II, America is on its peak of success.

They were able to defeat the axis power of Italy, Japan and Germany. They also created a new globalization in order to unite against Communism that is a threat to democracy. The United States created ties with allies—World Bank, NATO, Bretton Woods Institutions and the International Monetary Fund are born. Along with these, the International Trade Organization and General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade came.
In 1995, after the debate that took almost a decade, the World Trade Organization has been created whose function is to oversee the global trades and serve as an organization for negotiation and for the judiciary body that serves as a ruling body over the disputes of trade.
At first glance, it can be seen as an advantage for the United States but if it will be seen on the other side, it is something that ruins everything that the American Revolution had founded. The United States had become independent. Their citizens are not oblige to bow on several foreign masters found on the other side of the Atlantic. Both the Democrats and Americans threw out the idea of having independence when they decided to sign with the charter of the World Trade Organization.
The America joined the World Trade Organization because of the agreement that they will conform their laws to the will of the World Trade Organization. Wherein it resembles the America’s Federal government branches—the executive, legislative and the judicial. But the resemblance had stopped there. There is no election that happened in the United States of America for those who represents them in the World Trade Organization.
The executive branch only had a little accomplishment. The legislative branch only had the chance to vote one wherein each of the member nations is able to get one vote in the legislative process. The reality behind this system is that the member nation spends almost all of their time in the negotiation that never seems to end. On the other hand, the United States is still unfortunate because the judiciary branch of the World Trade Organization does a function. Those people who set the system has failed to understand what the adding of lawyers is going to do in the process with regards to the United States.
The America filed complaints against the World Trade Organization. If the dispute that they filed has not been resolved, they will bring their cases at the WTO court. The representatives of the United States’ Trade office appointed judges to make a review about their cases. Unfortunately, they refused because of the fear if how it would look if they will lose those disputes. So what the United States did is to leave it all up to the World Trade Organization’s branch of executive in order to choose a panel that is foreign.
